Out of Many: Stories of Migration
In partnership with The Documentary Works and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art
Out of Many is a moving and eye-opening photography exhibition on view at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art that works from the premise: We all came from somewhere … or somewhere else. The stories and experiences of multiple generations of Pittsburgh immigrants make up the lens through which the larger story of America is seen and felt.
Join Brian Cohen, Founder of The Documentary Works, a collaborative group of photographers, as he invites you into a more inclusive picture of our city and beyond with moving stories of passage, arrival, and the many encounters along the way. The discussion will be followed by a chance to upload your story to an interactive digital map of Pittsburgh designed by Carnegie Mellon University’s Create Lab.
Exhibition on view at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art until April 22.
