An Evening with Viet Thanh Nguyen

Carnegie Music Hall

$15–$35/$10 students

(Note: The correct 7:30 p.m. start time is updated from the printed program.)

In partnership with Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures we are proud to host award-winning writer Viet Thanh Nguyen.

Bold, elegant, and fiercely honest, Nguyen’s debut novel, The Sympathizer, won the Pulitzer Prize in 2016. His latest book of short stories, The Refugees, gives voice to lives led between two worlds: the adopted homeland and the country of birth. A collection of perfectly formed stories, it explores questions of immigration, identity, love, and family.

After his presentation, Nguyen will be joined by Jo Ellen Parker, president of Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, for a moderated Q&A. Tickets are limited. Please visit pittsburghlectures.org or call 412-622-8866 for the latest ticket information.
